Adventure

Shirt- H&M mens section
Vest-  H&M
Pumps- New Look
Bag- Matalan
Jeans- Internacionale

I went exploring the other day the weather was puzzlingly good so I though I'd make the most of it, even if it was a bit late in the day. (I also tried taking some pics of myself with out a tripod or camera buddy. Fail) I just put on my pumps, grabbed my camera and went. I ended up walking three or four miles of deserted 'tractor track' and stinging my ankles on nettles whilst grabbing some fantastic views and shooting some sunset. I got dirty and tired, it was great.
It got me to thinking though, despite this, I'm not a very spontaneous person. I don't jump into things, and I don't like change. But why? when this particular opportunity paid off, why can I not take it as an example that taking a chance isn't always doomed to end in failure? Unfortunately I can't end this with a revelatory answer. I still feel the same, it all boils down to plain and simple fear, but, realisation is half the fight, right?
Hopefully I'm young enough not to have missed all the opportunities life will give me, and I refuse to live in regret. Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to say yes.

Apologies if the above makes little sense, I would like to ask though, what's your attitude towards opportunities and chances? Do you accept everything that comes your way with open arms, or like me, stare clear of the unknown?

Best jumper ever. Why do the men's sections always have the good stuff now, Matalan and H&M, I'm looking at you! Also in more awesome news (well, for me) my tickets for the East Anglian Game and Country fair have finally arrived, v excited! If your a Norfolkian I urge you to get yourself to the Royal Norfolk Show Ground on the last weekend of  April, the 28/29th. There's absolutely something for everyone, for example, I have no interest in huntin' shootin' or a fishin' but I still love it! mainly for the food, clothes and trinkets (which also happens to accurately sum up my life interests). If you're in the area I can't recommend it highly enough, get yew there bor!

Prove you're not a robot!

Turns out geek glasses are back (if they ever went away) but then, this is according to one of those "I thought I needed a poo... but it was triplets!" magazines. God knows they're my fashion bible. -_-

Jumper- H&M
Brown vest- H&M
Jeans- Internacionale
Pumps- New look
Necklace-  from the lovely Launa in Ponderland check her out!

So you may have gathered from my reading of 'junk' mags I've had a pretty uneventful few days. I have. What does one do in the event of uneventfulness? rant 'o' course! my subject; word effing verification!

The title gives it away somewhat but I'm sure you know what I mean. There you are, happily typing away your much appreciated, spell checked and thought provoking *some sarcasm here* comment on somebody's blog, you read and re-read it to check you come off as 'cool' and not an over eager "I love you! be my friend!" freak, satisfied with your attempt at literate nonchalance, you hit 'publish'.
Welcome to a world of blogger pain my friend. "tiipcata swedtk? Sure, whatever" you think impatiently, as you slowly type out the letters in the manner of your elderly technophobe relatives. "The characters you entered don't match the word verification. Please try again." *headdesk* -__-  " eldi....eldish featch?" refresh, "sacagawea!?" refresh, "engelbert humperdinck!?WTF!" refresh...and so it goes on.
Now perhaps this is only me, but this process stirs within me a rage I knew not, comparable only to that felt by rake-face Sideshow Bob.

Please tell me I'm not alone in my frustration!

I haven't got things right, yet the sun came out this morning and filled my room with light

Half parka- H&M
Hoody- Gildan
Long purple top (under hoody)- H&M
Jeans- Internatcionale
Boots- Shoe Zone

Outfit post for you, long time no see... you see.... me...ah whatever.
I'm not in a girly mood at the moment, I want to wear sturdy boots, parkas, and grungy unisex knits and shirts. When I feel like this I have two style icons;

Marketa Irglova (of The Swell Season)
She's just so naturally beautiful and I love her style, she wears a lot of roll-up shirts with oversized knit waistcoats and slim chinos with leather Docs. It's very thrown on and casual; dressing practically that just turned out awesome.

Bella (do I need to say what she's in!?)
I would like to marry KS's stylist in the first two films, there is an array of lustable outfits in both. Dirty, earthy colours, layering of simple plains, plenty of skinnies and oversized shirts. My favourites have been in New moon; right at the end she's wearing an amazing dark green shirt, and earlier on she has this oversized brushed cotton plaid jacket with a sheepskin lining (cue months of searching for something similar). Simply put she's my imaginary grunge icon, there isn't an outfit in those movies I don't want.

I find that some days, I want to wear high heels, a dress and make-up, and others I just want to forget all slap, let my hair roam free and dress like Bella. Is that just me? Or do you find your own personal style to be so changeable? Having said that though, I feel most drawn to this style over a more girly one.

Whilst I'm here, have this...

Outfit post - an afternoon's happy snapping

Hello again.
Today I have mostly been wearing...

Hoody- Republic
Shirt- Thrifted
Vest- New Look
Jeans- Internacionale
Booties- God-knows-so-very-old

Got on Lush's snow fairy lip tint here, just thought I'd throw that in there instead of leaving y'all with a big fat unannounced pic of my  face.

I heart moss green check. It's brushed cotton too; mmmm textury!
and only a fiver  from a charadee shop , win!

Mood bear, had him all my life, love him lots.

As promised a *slightly* better  'swatch' of OPI rainbow connection, in an updated review,
this is the most chippy polish I have ever encountered. Still awesome though.

My philosophy & ethics exam is this Wednesday, so I'm spending my time revising and bricking it in equal measure, it could be the make or break as to whether I can actually continue with my course so yes, pressure, hello.

Other than this, life passes me by as usual, though I do have a birthday trip to Peterborough planned early next month, so that is a thing for looking forward to, which always helps!

"Ooh, blurry lights" I hear you cry, "soo original!" Indeed.

Outfit post

Bonjour again!

Gilet- Jack wills
Hoody- Republic
Top(just seen)- H&M
Jeggings- Internacional
Boots- River Island

Random head shot for you!

OOTD! with my newest purchase, my burgundy republic hoody, on sale for £30 (a little dear I'll admit) I used  to have a jack wills hoody in exactly the same colour, but it was a bit small, so I sold it on and brought this one instead. To be honest, I really prefer this one! It's got a much better shape and fit than the JW one, and cost a lot less! I love their gilets, but apart from that, I'm no Jack Wills fan girl, they're simply not worth the price tag in my opinion. I was expecting something amazing when I first bought from them, and though their stuff is lovely aesthetically, the quality's really not up there! Sorry JW fans!

Turtle Ring-Accessorize
Plain Ring- International

Sorry for blurriness!

I've shown you these nails before, but I think there better this time, I put even more coats of flakies on (NYX-pink avenue) and it looks so much prettier, only thing is it's so chunky you really need a thick layer of top coat to seal it all in and not be left with a rough finish. I love how it looks almost like a foil in the ring picture, I heart green!

P.S- the quality of these pics seems a bit off to me, no idea why, perhaps I just used the wrong setting, anyhoo, I'll check it out, any digital camera advice appreciated!

Owl necklace- fantasy island market

Day two of 'back-2-skool' nothing mind blowing, but still a chance to wear my owl necklace, I got it from the fantasy island market in Skegness, when we went on hols there last year, if you're ever around that area, I'd definitely give it a look, it's absolutely huge, amongst the regular market junk there are some fantastic stalls with unique and vintage pieces usually at rock bottom prices. Plus it's junk food heaven there! every thing you can think of battered, fried, in a roll, through a straw, it.is.brilliant! it you're there don't leave without trying a shmoo, they are the best milkshake in the world, hands down.
