Mittens of the month - special edition

It's time for Christmas month mittens; red and festive!

Oh dear, these pictures are rather fuzzy aren't they!

A mini mitten story

You may recognise these if you're fond of the winter olympics, like myself! For a good while now I have been mad on all things Canada (Helloo Michael Buble!) I love the country, I love the people, I love everything that comes out of that place, and some day I shall reside there!
Anyhoo, I digress, my auntie happened to be going to Canada just as the winter olympics were ending (luck!), so after viewing the sea of red mittens at every event (and I watched every event!) I begged and pleaded for her to try and find me a pair, I didn't hold out much hope since they had been some what of a cult product, sold out everywhere. So when she returned, with the holy grail of mittens in tow, well, it very nearly made my life! I have cherished and treasured them ever since, they are one of my most loved, prized possessions. I did of course thank my auntie profusely, but to this day, I still don't think she knows quite how much it meant to me!

  1. Have you ever gone to Canada? I've been once, it's pretty cool. I went to Niagra Falls and I was so scared I was going to get sucked under the falls for some reason. I had major anxiety.

I love your mitten story! Stories like that make things so much more special :)

  2. I feel so weird that I haven't been to Canada...I live two hours away, and was only three hours away for most of my life! Go figure.

Your mitten story is fantastic though :)

  9. There was a time when I was obsessed with all things Canadian. It's funny...if you put a Canadian and an American together, it's hard to tell them apart because but...something is different about them. I could feel that when I went camping in Alberta.
