Also in more awesome news (well, for me) my tickets for the East Anglian Game and Country fair have finally arrived, v excited! If your a Norfolkian I urge you to get yourself to the Royal Norfolk Show Ground on the last weekend of  April, the 28/29th. There's absolutely something for everyone, for example, I have no interest in huntin' shootin' or a fishin' but I still love it! mainly for the food, clothes and trinkets (which also happens to accurately sum up my life interests). If you're in the area I can't recommend it highly enough, get yew there bor!

"Bazinga!"

If you get the title, then you're as bigger TBBT nerd as me. *high five* If not? enjoy the word nonetheless!

Pointless fact 'o' the day!

The title I was going to write for this post had cuticle in it. On a whim I googled it, turns out names for parts of the nail include 'lunula', 'distal groove' (was that a 70's band, or is it just me?) and 'matrix', don't they just sound lovely?! This is why you should never bite your nails.

Nonsensical whimsy 'o' the day!

I always feel like coloured tips with a clear base look a bit like a window to you nail.
The sequins were hard to get off and put on. But I quite liked it, so I'll let it live.

Seven snaps Sunday

I've been drawn to doodling this week, particularly the never ending line, it's surprisingly entertaining. Also I was trying to draw a new header for the blog but I'm neither artistically skilled enough, nor satisfied with what I drew (drawed, drawn?).

Also ben & Jerrys- which I long time likey love love-  has released three new 'core' flavours for the UK; Berry White- Raspberry with rasberry chunks, vanilla with white choc chunks and choc truffle core (which was v nice btw), Karamel Sutra- Caramel and choc ice creams with choc chunks and caramel sauce core and finally Dough-ble Whammy- Choc and cookie dough ice creams with cookie dough chunks and choc fudge core. *good times*
I also really want to try 'Oh my, apple pie!' which I never got to try the first time round, because my god, I do love pie.

I got some new polishes in the post today, my dad noticed and speculated on the precise number of my collection, ever thorough, I decided to count them (and colour order in the process of course); 58. I think it's not too much. Oh, and I was playing around with Photoshop (which I'm utterly bewildered by) and this happened. I liked it, it's a bit pop art-ish. I don't know how I did it.

P.S- Did you put your clocks back last night? I didn't *facepalm* thank god for Sunday!

You fit me better than my favourite sweater

polishes used: Barry M- Emerald green, 17- yellow, La femme- pale pink, Sally Hansen- Insta-dry topcoat, Rimmel matte as base coat.

Don't worry, I'm under no illusions as to the quality of my nail art, still the tattyness adds a charm to it I'd like to think. Oh also, I did it with a cocktail stick so... yeah, very professional, but spring-y none the less!
Wishing you all the best of weather, why not roll up your blue jeans and dip your toes in a nice cool pool of Lana Del Rey...

Prove you're not a robot!

Turns out geek glasses are back (if they ever went away) but then, this is according to one of those "I thought I needed a poo... but it was triplets!" magazines. God knows they're my fashion bible. -_-

Jumper- H&M
Brown vest- H&M
Jeans- Internacionale
Pumps- New look
Necklace-  from the lovely Launa in Ponderland check her out!

So you may have gathered from my reading of 'junk' mags I've had a pretty uneventful few days. I have. What does one do in the event of uneventfulness? rant 'o' course! my subject; word effing verification!

The title gives it away somewhat but I'm sure you know what I mean. There you are, happily typing away your much appreciated, spell checked and thought provoking *some sarcasm here* comment on somebody's blog, you read and re-read it to check you come off as 'cool' and not an over eager "I love you! be my friend!" freak, satisfied with your attempt at literate nonchalance, you hit 'publish'.
Welcome to a world of blogger pain my friend. "tiipcata swedtk? Sure, whatever" you think impatiently, as you slowly type out the letters in the manner of your elderly technophobe relatives. "The characters you entered don't match the word verification. Please try again." *headdesk* -__-  " eldi....eldish featch?" refresh, "sacagawea!?" refresh, "engelbert humperdinck!?WTF!" refresh...and so it goes on.
Now perhaps this is only me, but this process stirs within me a rage I knew not, comparable only to that felt by rake-face Sideshow Bob.

Please tell me I'm not alone in my frustration!

Is it real?

My 'photograsis' was trying to get me to do something other than 'meh' with my face, these are the test shots for want of a better term.

Even somebody with less than eagle eyes will be able to tell, my hair has mysteriously changed length and colour over night. Well, I can safely say that I've not had hundreds of pounds of extensions nor hit the (dye) bottle, which leaves only two options; wig or mythical enchanted hair lotion. Surely not a wig I hear you cry! anything but a wig! Well sorry, but yes, it is a wig. I have decided to ditch my wig shame and embrace the simplicity, lazyness and time saving qualities they provide. I admit it, I love wigs and am more than happy to wear them on any occasion be it work, collage, day out, I see no problem with it, and what's better than being able to compleatly change your style at a moments notice? I'm not saying I prefer them over my real hair, or that I'm only ever going to wear wigs now, I see them as just another accessory.

At first I was a bit embarrassed about wearing them in public where people might, shock horror, actually see me! I got over that a long time ago though when I realised most people think it's real, and even if they don't so what, does that instantly make it look bad? no!

I've also recently bought this one which I hope to debut soon (after some much needed backcombing!)

I say wigs are a win, but would you wear one? or do you dislike the very though?

core' blimey!....sorry.

Had a leisurely day out with mum and nanna today. We went shopping and had lunch at The Green Quay, of bacon and brie sandwiches (for goodness sake go here and order this if your passing through Lynn!). The Green Quay also has some fantastic and interesting information and exhibits about the wash and fens, particularly an amazing had made small scale model of how King's Lynn looked over 400 years ago (how I wish I'd taken a picture!). We then headed over to the 900 year old St Margaret's church (or King's Lynn Minster as I'm informed by my nanna) for a wander and look round, I'm really not religious at all but this is such an incredibly grand and beautiful church I nearly always pop in if I'm near, it's so quite and peaceful.

I wore a couple of 'virgin' items today too, those being the shoes and dress. Both were pretty comfortable and passed their test run, though my feet were pretty sore after all the walking, but what else can you expect from 5" heels!

I topped the day off with a Ben and jerry's binge, I'm so happy they've brought back 'Oh my, apple pie!' yay for Tesco, though not yay because they were out of choccy philly *le sigh* can't believe something so strange is so popular, but god it is good!

btw "that's nobby" is basically my nan's catchphrase, otherwise translated as "ooh isn't that good/nice!", wish people came out with phrases like that now!

Frocky coad

As your eyes will tell you, I've had a bit of a change of the blog. Please do tell me what you think of it, all honesty much appreciated!

Rocky road
Fridge cake
Ingredients

Margarine- 4oz
Cocoa- 3tbs
Golden Syrup- 3tbs
Digestives- 8oz
Raisins- 5oz
Hazelnuts- 5oz

How to:

Melt the margarine, golden syrup and cocoa on a low heat in a large saucepan (largeness is essential for future mixing!) until it reaches a smooth, runny consistency and everything is thoroughly melted and combined.

Break up the digestives into small chunks and add to the saucepan along with the raisins and hazelnuts. (or whatever else you've chosen) Mix and coat all the dry ingredients compleatly.

once that's done plop it into a preferably shallow (inch?) tin or foil a tray and smooth the top with the back of a spoon so it's reasonably level. If you want you can coat the top in chocolate of your choice. I would defo recommend this! I've used plain choc and white stars in picture 3.

Now, the long wait- in the fridge it goes for at least a couple of hours, or the freezer if you're impatient. (I'm sure you probably shouldn't do this, and profeshnul types will be screaming at me, but I have, it was fine. And quicker! ^_^)

This was good, you should definitely try it, till' you do, life has not been lived.

The week in pictures

Phone lines ~ Sunset ~ Walking pics ~ Views ~ Peterborough cathedral ~ Chai latte ~ Birthday cake ~ Sexy stripy socks & more walking ~ Charlie dog
The trees are still bare, but the dirt smells different now, and when the sky is blue its almost translucent. Also Charlie dog is malty Mcmalt-malt this week; spring is coming, 19 years ago, I already had. I was born on the 'first day of spring' my mum says, and being born on a first is fantastic for somebody who is mildly OCD about orders and organisation (though you'd never guess from the state of my bedroom). This has been the happiest birthday for a good few years.

Oh and I passed my last philosophy exam.
